I know this is a long shot, but you are the only CONKLIN in Louisiana I have found. I have a Red CONKLIN from Louisiana he ws a silversmith and a pirate. He disappeared in the Caribbean and was never heard from again. His daughter, Ellen Virginia, married Frank BOYD. They settled in Texas. Their son, Charles, is my grandmother's father.
