Paul,
I recently found out that Martha Bryan first married Loenard Page and then JOEL Conklin. A Sarah M.G. Bryan did marry a David Conklin but as of right now I do not know if there is a connection.
Joel and Martha had Margaret, Mary Elizabeth, Ellen, John W.B., and another son who's name was illegible on the 1880 census. There were many other Conklin families in Union Couty at this time, but I have no names for them after 1860. I would be happy to share the little bit more that I have if you are interested. Just for your FYI my Bryan ancestors moved from Union County to Springfield in the early 1900's. I don't know of any Conklins that moved with them.
Sorry, this probably wasn't any help.
Maelle
