Merl Congrove, 83, of Lancaster, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at Fairfield Medical Center.
Merl was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He was retired from the furnace room at Anchor Hocking.
Survivors include daughters, Gloria Darnell, Dianna Reed, Debra (Joe) Andrews, Becky Keplar, all of Lancaster, Patricia Thacker and Kathie (Joe) Decker, both of Bremen; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Annabelle Skaggs of Laurelville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Linda Roush; parents, Harley and Odesse Rogers Congrove; three brothers; and one sister.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Sheridan Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn R. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive callers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
