I don't think that William Congrove (b1809) was a brother to George Washington Congove (b1825). Two reasons:
1. George's mother was born in 1894 which she would have been 14 or 15 years old in 1809;
2. The three children of William Congrove (b1775) and Elizabeth (b1894) that I have were born between between 1817 and 1826. An 1809 birth in this family does not seem probable.
Children of William Congrove and Elizabeth are:
i.Nicholas Congrove, born November 1817. He married Ingebeth Taylor Abt. 1843; born 26 November 1823 in Meigs County, OH.
ii.George Washington Congrove, born March 1825 in OH; died Aft. 1900. He married Deborah Taggart 23 August 1843; born April 1826 in PA; died Aft. 1910.
iii. Elijah Congrove, born Abt. 1826.
I did find 1850 Census for George W. Congrove (b1825) and his brother, Nicholas (b1826) in Jackson County, (W)VA.
