Thanks for the followup. Lori Fortner sent me a note also mentioning that she is working on a story of Sarah's father Phillip Wigal. I have included it below. Maybe between you and Lori, the correct children from John and Sarah Congrove can be documented.

I don't have much on Sarah but I believe her last name was Wigal. Obituaries are traditionally riddled with errors. You might check in Wood Co. WV and get the marriage information for Sarah. I note that there are 14 children listed, some with the same name. There is a Sarah born in 1833 and another Sarah born again later in 1851. I am working on the story of Philip Wigal, the father of Sarah, and the Whiskey Rebellion. I believe him to be the same Philip Wigle/Vigol who was arrested in Westmoreland Co. PA and sent to Philadelphia and tried for treason. He was convicted and sentenced to death. He was pardoned by President George Washington. I am in the process of verifing the information. The case US vs VIGOL 1795 is still used today in defining treason! Note that the spelling of the name Wigal was phonetic. Articles describe him as a simple man from the frontier. I believe that he may have been freed with the stipulation that he leave the country, which he did by moving to WV.
