Miscellaneous CONGER Info fm Texas

Hi all,

I made a trip to the Ft. Bliss library recently and found a small amount of CONGER information that I thought someone might be interested in.

"The First Census of the United States, North Carolina 1790":

Salisbury Dist, Rockingham Co.
Conger, Benjamin, (pg 168) 1, 2, 2, 0, 0

Salisbury Dist., Rowan Co.
Conger, John (pg 176) - 2, 3, 6, 0, 0
Conger, Jonathan, Jr. (pg 176) 1, 1, 1, 0, 0
Conger, Jonathen (pg 172) - 2, 0, 5, 0, 0

(Note1st Jonathan with "a", 2nd w/"e".)

I also came acrossed a book titled "Births, Deaths, and Marriages from El Paso Newspapers Through 1885" which was compiled by Mrs. Jane Beard. There was one entry for CONGER as follows:

CONGER, Del - Premature discharge of cannon. Paper & Date: LS July 12, 1884. Date & Place of Death: July 4, 1884, Centralia, MO.

Hope someone finds this useful.
Regards,
Cindy
