Yep, you zeroed right in on one of my "problem" areas. I know there's some confusion about David. I had the following information, but I'm no longer certain about David's parentage. There are so many Benjamin's and David's that I may have gotten my wires crossed.

Benjamin Conger, Abt. 1700-1762 ??
David Conger, 1744-1765
Elias Darby Conger, 1763-1845
Stephen Conger, 1796-1859
Benoni G. Conger, 1831-32-1918
Matilda Conger 1868-1920 (my ggrandmother)

Most of my information has come from oral family history, and the LDS. I'm still working on this though, trying to get additional information. I'm not completely certain of David's parentage and I would be interested in hearing what source you used that says David, the son of Benjamin died as a child. I would also be interested in any information/parentage you have on David Conger and his wife Mary Darby Green?

Regards,
Cindy
