Agnes J. FARRELL, daughter of Reuben T. and Nancy Grimes FARRELL of Morristown, Belmont Co., OH, was born ca. 1845. Sometime prior to 1880, she married an unknown CONGER, most likely either in Belmont Co., Muskingum Co., or Franklin Co., OH--though not exclusively. Agnes Farrell CONGER was widowed by 1900, when she was enumerated as a housekeeper in a dormitory at Ohio State University in Columbus. Agnes had several siblings in Columbus at that point, which may explain her presence there. The same census indicates her having had one child, who was still living (though not with her, suggesting that the child was over 18 and living independently or married.
Agnes J. Farrell CONGER died in Lane Co., OR, in 1927, while living with her sister Lyde MCCRUM. Is there a CONGER researcher there who can place a correct husband with Agnes? He would have been born most likely between 1840 and 1850, and living somewhere in SE Ohio, probably between Columbus and Belmont Co., Agnes' home county. The posted database of Ohio marriages contains a great many for Belmont Co., but no record of Agnes FARRELL's marriage to a CONGER is found there. This unknown CONGER male would have died at around 50 yrs of age, possibly in Columbus, OH.
