Note spelling of name as "Canfer"

1840 Census, Hopewell Twp, Cumberland Co, PA: Wm. Canfer, 1 male under 5, 2 males 5-10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 30-40, 1 female under 5, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 30-40.

1850 Census, District 4, Scott Co, IA, census taken 11 Oct 1850, house 827/870: "William Confair, age 57, farmer, Mary Confair, age 45, George 24, waggon maker, Betsey 22, David 17, laborer, **Daniel 15, Mary 12, John 10, William 8." All parties bp PA.

I can't be sure who William's father is yet though. Seems like he should be tied into that Peter line somehow.
