Al Cone lived on Polk St. (now Parkway), just east of the house that today is 222 East Parkway Ave., which was my folks home. Al had a tavern on Main St., called the "Zayat." His daughter Rhea Cone PERKINS turned it into the ladies clothing store "Christensen's."
Here is the correction to my CONE lineage: Almer's parents were: Sterling Massena CONE & Mary Jane WOODBRIDGE (later ZIMMERLY); grand = Marsena / Massena CONE & Elizabeth PURPLE; gr-grand = Oliver CONE & Anna STERLING.
My Dad & uncle Alfred IVES still bore the Cone name, and my uncle Bob IVES, his son Robert, and now grandson, still carry the Sterling name.
