Eleanor, Our Alexander's are about the same generation. My grgrgrandfather was Alexander and his wife's name is questionable. Someone thought it might be Isabell, but not sure.
My grgrandfather Archibald was born in 1849 in Drumquin, Co. Tyrone. ARchie was one of the older children. He had known siblings Hamilton, Sarah, Elizabeth, James, David, John, and others. Hamilton actually went to Australia around the 1880's - 1890's but could not get in as the quota was full, so went to the States as Archie was here.
That Theophilus name is one that someone who wrote to me recently had in their tree. Possibly one and the same.
Do you know if Drumquin is close to Cullentra?
