I am new to this web site, but I found it through the FamilyHistory.org search. I am looking for some ancestors that unfortunately, I have little information on.
What I have been told is this:
My ancestor is Neva Condron (born abt 1900-1907) who had a child named Thomas Earl, born in 1922 in Ohio (still living). She was never married to his father (Earl LaVere) and neither she nor the father raised this child. Neva's brother's as well as her mother (Mimi?) helped raise him. The brothers names are Frank and John. Apparently, they were embezzlers (at some point worked for John Hancock Insurance) and changed their names to "Hammond" to escape the law. I don't know when that occured, but Neva's son, Thomas, is known as Thomas Earl Hammond. He has little recollection of his family except these two uncles.
Frank married "Pearl" and John married "Ann" (spelling?). I believe they also had another sister named Margaret who has a son named Robert Turner and grandson named Russell Turner.
This is as much information as Thomas Earl Hammond can give. If anyone knows anything about this line or any of these people, please let me know. I wish I had even a little more clues of where to begin...
