I don't own a copy of Don's book (really the family association's work--Don is generous in acknowledging the help of others). But Don sent me a copy of his electronic file several years ago, so I have some access to the lines traced by the book. What I do not have access to is the sources of the information. I assume the book contains more records of sources than the file I have. The focus of their research seemed, at the time, to be more on the lines that had migrated to Indiana and Ohio, and I found little on my lines--those descending from William the Indian Spy and brother Dennis--and the NC/SC groups. I believe, from something he once said to me, that Don and the others are expecting us to do that work.

I too was concerned about Don, since I had not heard from him for some time. Very recently, he contacted me to say that he had been heavily occupied for a couple of years in starting up a new business, so had set aside the genealogical work. I was glad to hear from him, and hope that he becomes active again.

I have also tried to contact Rawleigh, who has done a lot of good work on the early VA and Manx origins. I particularly want her view on the records we recently learned about from Glenda Hartmann. I have not yet heard from her.
