The information I have regarding the origin of the Condon name is that Nicholas de Caunteton who was born in Pembroke Castle in Wales married Mabilia Fitzgerald, the daughter of William Fitzgerald of Carew and Maria Montgomery. Nicholas and Mabilia went to Ireland as part of the Norman Invasion with her brother Raymond Le Gros Fitzgerald. Nicholas was awarded the area later known as the Barony of the Condons. I am not sure of all the names of the children of Nicholas and Mabilia, but the ones I have are:
Robert, William,Roger,Jordan,Adam and Raymond who was known as Reimundus Kantitunensis King at Ordone. If you have any additional information before or after this, please let me know. e-mail JoeCondon@aol.com
