Edgar Condit, grandson of Simon Condit, came from Trenton, N.J. in an ox cart with his bride, Ira Pierson. This was about 1817 or so. Trenton Township was created as was The Condit Presbyerian Church that stands today. I got the information from the 1916 Condit Genealogy book on pages 27-28. Also, stopped at the church a few yeare ago and picked up a church bulletin with historical information in South Condit.
