In 1964(ish) in Tillicoultry I met a woman called 'Lizzie Condie' - she was old (-I was only 14 at the time), and I think a distant relation of ours - the Goldie Family who lived in the area.

I was rather confused because my relatives had always talked about her as Lizzie Condie but then introduced me to her as Mrs (something)- following a Scottish/family tradition of talking about a woman by her maiden name but addressing her by her married name.
