Elizabeth Condie was born in Westmeath, dtr. of James Condie and Isabella Drysdale, both Scottish immigrants. She was the sister of my great-grandfather, Andrew Condie, who emigrated from Westmeath to Winneconne, WI in 1869. Andrew Condie was born in Perth, Ontario, on 26 May 1831, one of 13 children of this couple. This family moved from Perth to Westmeath in 1835. Andrew married Hannah Beach on 12 Dec 1856 in Westmeath. THey had 3 children: Christopher born 1858 in Westmeath (my grandfather); Caroline born 1860, died young and Alice born 21 May 1862 in Westmeath. Andrew died 12 Apr 1915 in Horicon, WI where he lived with his daughter Alice and her husband John Wm. Pluck, the first mayor of Horicon. Hannah died between 1885 and 1895.
