I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800. For Michael Concannon B 1819 +/- 4 yrs in Co. Galway, I found 3 B rcds: 1818, 1820 & 1822. For Michael Concannon M 1843 +/- 2 yrs in Co. Galway, I found 4 M rcds: 3-1843, & 1-1845. Searching all Ireland, there are 6 M rcds. For Sarah Costello M ditto, I found 3 M rcds, but none in the same yr and county as those for Michael. The rcd of this M event may not have survived, or hasn't been digitized. For Patrick Concannon B 1845 (exact) in Co. Galway with a father named Michael, I found 0 B rcds. For Mary Concannon B 1846 (exact) ditto, I found 0 B rcds. Rcd keeping started late in Galway. It may be rcds for your ancestors were never created, or didn't survive. Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Pls post your results to my genforum msg. Hope this helps. Good luck. Notify Administrator about this message?
