I don't have an answer for you but I do have a question. I am a descendant of Mary A. Conaway, daughter of George Washington and Susan (Morris) Conaway. Mary had an ilegitimate son, raised as James Newton Hardin, born on Dec 13, 1869 in AL. Do you have any information about them? He was my great grandfather and I really don't want to follow the Hardin line if he isn't really a Hardin. Mary was 19 when she had him and her husband that raised him was only 13 when he was born.

I would appreciate any information that you have and I will be glad to share with you any that I have!
