Conaway, Bivins/Bivens, and Mayo

Hanah B. DOB: MAR 1849

(Possibly the Hanah of the Brown family in Davidson Co. TN._1860 Federal Census_12th District_204B_6_Page 0203a......

Head of House: John Brown 49 DOB: 1810 TN.
Wife: Mary Brown 48 DOB: 1811 TN.
Daughter: Mary Brown 22 DOB: 1837 TN.
Son: Thomas Brown 19 DOB: 1840 TN.
Daughter: Caroline Brown 14 DOB: 1845 TN.
Daughter: HANAH BROWN 10 1849 TN.)

Hanah Brown DOB 1849 and possible she married about 1870 in TN.

IF her husband was alive and living, in TN., in 1880-81 when son Wilson Perry Bivins_DOB: OCT 1880 Decatur Co., TN._ was born... then his Father’s name should be in 1880 census in one of these counties Gibson, Davidson, Decatur, or Hardin.

(The Conaway, Bivins, and Mayo Families all lived in that area 1850 to 1930) William "Bill" DOB: 25 AUG 1874, may not be the first child because two of five died or Hanah could have married age 24-25.

Hanah B. was a widow age 67, and William age 25, not married when living in Decatur Co. with Marion age 23, and Wilson age 19 DOB: 10 OCT 1880.

1900 Census_Gibson Co., TN._ 16th Civil District_Enumeration District No. 6-1_Sheet No. 10_
John Conaway DOB: AUG 1849 married Martha D. ? DOB: 5 MAY 1843 about 1882 in TN.
(Maybe Gibson Co).

His Mother was C. Emmeline ? DOB: MAR 1827 and still living at age 73 in 1900 John also was
living with son George in 1930 when he died at the age of 81.

He and Martha had seven children born between 1883 and 1895 likely all in Gibson County.
In fact I think John’s parents were in Gibson County before 1880 and could be found in census of
1850-60-70 census.

John and Martha did move to Hardin Co. after 1900 and before 1910 with the seven children.

As the plot thickens Hardin County is connected to Decatur County where both the Mayo and Bivins families were at this time. The Ida Conaway met L.H. Lemuel Mayo and fell in love.

Ida Conaway was born JAN 1886 and married Lemuel H. Mayo 21 DEC 1906 at the age of 20.

He died by drowning less than a year later on 7 DEC 1907 (I think both dates in Decatur)

Mrs. Ida Mayo then met and married Wilson Perry Bivins in Decatur CO. 27 MAR 1910.

Annie Conaway DOB MAY 1888, was wed in Decatur Co., TN. on 14 FEB 1903 to Marion Ernest Bivins DOB: APR 1877 in Henderson Co., TN.

Annie's younger brother John W. Conaway worked for her husband Marion Ernest Bivins, in the early 1900s In 1910.

Wilson and William "Bill" and his wife Janie were living in houses next door to each other but not sure if it was in Decatur or Hardin County. 1910 Decatur Co. Census_Dist. 11_Houses 89 & 90.
(NOTE: I had earlier believed that our William Bivins was the one who was wed to Amanda Dickson. The 1910 census above mentioned, has proven this to be wrong. I will leave the William S. Bivins and Amanda of Hardin Co. alone now. HOWEVER...we now need to figure out who Janie was, as well as Hanah's maiden name and who her "Bivins" husband, Marion's daddy, was.)

We do have records that Wilson Perry Bivins and his brother Marion Ernest Bivns made draft registration for WW1 in Hardin County.

WW1 Draft Regristration:
Hardin County, Tennessee
Wilson Perry Bivins, DOB 10-25-1880
Wife Ida Bivins
Medium build and slender. Eyes Gray and hair is dark.

Anyone know where William "Bill" Bivins and Wilson Perry Bivins went to after 1910? Marion Ernest Bivins seemed to have stayed in Decatur Co., TN.
Also, when I found Hanah in the 1900 census I didn't see the middle initial B. It just had Hanah, age 51, WD, had 5 children 3 alive and was housekeeper.
I don't understand why we can't find at least her children in the 1880 census, going on the assumption that she possible is under a different first name, or maybe the last name is totally spelled wrong; or they were not in Tennessee in 1880. ANY help will be appreciated!
