I'm looking for information on Amos Conaway married to Maria Hughs or Hughes from OH/VA. Amos was born arounf 1790-1800 and died between 1846-1854 either in St. Louis or the area around McConnelsville, Ohio. I beleive his father was Jeremiah Conaway but can not prove this at this time. I have found a connection between the 1830 and 1840 census but it is not 100%. Amos was Mayor of McConnelsville in 1838 and I have them looking for information. I have a large amount of information on the Conaway/Conway in St, Louis if anyone is interested.
