My grandparients are William Green Conaway,A brother to
Mahala. William Green married Letticia Anna White. They had
four children, Eaarl died an infent in Stiles, Iowa. Allpharetta Adelaide Conaaway was born 1901 and Died 1963.
Walter G. Conaway was born 1914, Marion Glenn Conaway was born 1921. I am the daughter of Walter G.Conaway.
William Green's father was Richard Aquilla Conaway Jr., His father was Richard Aquilla Conaway Sr., and his father was John Conaway, wife unknown. Richard Sr's wife was Caroline Bish.
My brother tells a story. One night on the Johnny Carson show, there was a genealogist on asking Johnny if he knew anything about his ancesters. He told Johnny that his great-- came across (from where I'm not sure) as a stow-away
on Quiller Conaway's ship. I would love to document this story. Help me if you can.
Gary I faintly remember comming with Dad to bring Grandmother to visit Uncle Orval and Uncle Leo, probably in 1945. You must be the son of Margatet Rose Conaway Inman.
