Rev. Samuel Conaway-born 1748/49 Swan Creek, Kent Co., MD, abt 1754 father died and mother moved to Queen Anne Co., MD, at the time of the Amer. Rev. lived in Queen Anne Co., MD, in 1797 moved to Fayette Co., PA (where his brother Rev. Charles Conaway had moved in 1787), 1802 moved to the old "Northwest Territory" in Ohio (probably Jefferson/Harrison Co. area where his brother Michael lived), 1804 and 1807 bought land in Jefferon (now Harrison) Co., OH, on tax list there in 1809, in Jan. 1812 moved back to Fayette Co., PA, 1832 applied for war pension in Franklin Twp., Fayette Co., PA.
The three brother- Michael, Samuel and Charles all fought in the Rev. and all moved from MD to Fayette Co. PA bef 1800 and at one time or another lived in Harrison Co., OH.
