Aaron CONAWAY gave his birthplace as SC on the 1850 Cass County, GA census, wife Martha age 30,children Mills P. CONAWAY age 10, Jeremiah CONAWAY age 8 and Elizabeth age 5 all born in SC. In 1860 he had married Louisa GENTRY age 35, in 1870 wife was Elizabeth, both born in SC. His children by his other wives were born in GA. I think his father was Caleb, but have not been able to confirm. I have not been able to find any other CONAWAYs who would be the right age in the rest of SC.
