Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Til(l)man was a very popular name some years
ago. It was a corruption of Tilghman. This
ancestor of yours is spelled Tillman on his
stone, Tillman on Civil War papers, but he is
Tilghman on his marriage license and Tyler E
Bush, descendant, sent it to me this way. I
do not care either way. But one thing I do:
Mary Catherine Conard is correct, though, and
Cathrine, as you have it, is not.
