JJ Conard (our ggf)'s dad was Abner Alexander
Conard. His bro. John Wm. left MO abt 1881 or so for Red Bluff, Tehama Co, CA. This
family became quite prosperous. A son of JW,
was Arthur Lee of Red Bluff, a hotel man, with his son Ashley, a S.F. attorney, and a
bachelor son Arthur Robert of Red Bluff, were
instrumental in getting Lassen Park into the
the system, hence the CONARD names there. I
have extensive records on this branch. In fact, I have extensive records now on all the
family, recently got a ton of Grove stuff.
Will be 65 in Apr., poor health. Yet I buy
unripened fruit but do not extend magazine
subscriptions. Quit cigs & booze. Still pay
my Elks and Mason dues, though. Daughter
now 29, son 27, out of college, so far no grandkids. Erik of Denver
