I am trying to find the parents of William Comstock who was born in 1788, possibly in New Jersey. He was married to Eliza McCann. In 1825 he lived in Steuben County NY, where a son John William was born. John married Jerusha Semmes and they had 7 children, Mary Ann (1847), James (1849), Ellen (1851), John (1853), Millard (1854), Permelia (1860) and Jerusha (1863). Any information would be appreciated.
