According to "A History and Genealogy of the Comstock Family in America" by John A. Adams

William Comstock was born Watertown, Wisc. June 4, 1848; died E. San Gabriel, Ca. 1/25/1944; married Fairbault, Mn., 2/8/1872, Alice Marie Crawford, b. Haynesville, Il., 3/20/1854; died E. San Gabriel, Ca. 10/29/1937, dau. of Obed and Lucinda (Fuller) Crawford.
