Glad to have been able to help out a little, April. Here's the little bit I have on the children of Alexander Comstock. Rewritten from pages 87, 88 and 176 of J. A. Comstock's book:

Alexander Comstock 6 (Zebadiah Comstock 5, Zebadiah Comstock 4, Samuel Comstock 3, Daniel Comstock 2, William Comstock 1) was born November 25, 1789. He died October 7, 1862. He married Charlotte (Vallet) Chapel November 5, 1816. She was born 1783 and died August 22, 1873, aged about ninety years.

On October 15, 1862, David Comstock of Montville, Connecticut, was appointed administrator of Alexander Comstock, a farmer of Montville.

The children of Alexander and Charlotte Comstock are Alexander and Aveline:

• Alexander Comstock 7, born May 27, 1818, married February 16, 1840, to Mercy R. Walker. She was born May 28, 1823, the daughter of George and Rhoba (Hill) Walker. (The book does in fact say "Rhoba", but I guess this may be a typographical error for "Rhoda".) The date and place of his death are not recorded. Their children were Helen Comstock, of whom nothing more is known, and Jennie S. Comstock, born in Poquatanock, Connecticut in 1844, and died in Boston, Massachustetts, November 25, 1883, unmarried.

• Aveline Comstock who married John Carlton

There my one source runs dry. Good luck in your research.
