Cary,
Oscar mother was Amanda Warner. She was married to a Comstock briefly and moved home. It was then that her father adopter Oscar. There are some Comstocks listed as living in Indian Fields, Mi. That would be close to home and the older members of the family believe that there may be a connection there somewhere. There is a Charles and Hudulah Comstock listed in the Tuscola County 1880 census as being 41 and 40 years of age. Maybe they dad a son or Charles had a brother that could be my Oscars real father. Do you have anything on them?
