I'm reposting my original message (Sept. 1998) in an effort to help out my Comstock cousins.

There's a great site on the Internet which publishes whole books and adds 3 new ones daily! I just checked and as of 9/12/98, of 746 books, 162 include Comstock info. The one most of us are looking for by John A. Comstock (1949), is right there for you to use! Don't have to be Family Tree Maker user, but small subscription price, monthly or annually. Check it out! My Comstock branch is there and now I know where a date,albeit erroneous, included in my previous info passed on to me by a cousin, came from! Go to www.familytreemaker.com, then check out their genealogy library.

P. S. The date I refer to, is for 1907 residence of Gilbert Peterson Comstock, my ggg-uncle, of New Hartford, Oneida Co., NY, who died Jan. 20,1887! Gilbert's sister, Lydia m. Morgan Lewis and they were my gg-grandparents.
