In The History and Genealogy of The Comstock Family in America by John A. Comstock, Page 88, Family 317 it says: JOHN SCOTT COMSTOCK (Joshua, Caleb, Samuel, Daniel, William) born Montville, Conn., Feb 20, 1801; married Ruth Weston. In 1877 John S. Comstock was at Parma, Michigan. CHILDREN: Rhoda,m. Owen Hammond of Springport, Mich/Maria, m. Josiah Whitman of Springport/Sarah. Sorry, no dates were listed for the children's births. John S. was born Feb 20 1801. On page 41, it has John married to Ruth Waters.

I don't know if this is a typo or he had 2 wives. If you do not have access to this book, let me know and I'll continue backwards with information.
