Hi, I would be interested in the Comstock group.
Here is one of my ancestors.
Thanks, Lori London, near Atlanta, GA

AMY COMSTOCK WHITE
Widowed fairly young, Amy applied for a land
grant from the Austin project in TX. On August
16, 1824, she was awarded a grant in Austin's
Colony #1. The amount was 1 lg. 4428.4 acres.
This is on file with the Texas General Land Office.
She was part of the "Old 300". She is listed in
the 1826 census* as being over 50, she was
actually 51. She was shown as Farmer and Stock
Raiser. She remarried. In the 1850 census she is
shown as Aimie Swale aged 76 (Amy Swail). She
is living with son William and his family.
*This was the 1826 Atascosita census, a Mexican

district that covered southeastern TX.
