Thank you for looking. From the census record, I have Francis Martin Comstock, born about Dec 1844, near Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa. His birth records may also be across the river in Illinois. From the 1900 Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas census, I also have his father born in New York, and his mother in Vermont, but no names. As I said earlier, I know only of the existence of a first marriage, but nothing about the people in it, spouse, or children.
Francis Martin Comstock was married a second time to Jessie Ann Gonsolley. Their children are: 1) Mildred Emily Comstock, b. 15 Mar 1890, Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas; d. 28 Dec 1988, Kingman, Kingman County, Kansas; m. to George Ellis Blair, 25 Feb 1912, in Topeka, 7 children. 2)Francis Martin Comstock Jr., b.Mar 1891, in Topeka; m. Nora Lena McGuire 16 Oct 1912, in Topeka. 3) Clarence C. Comstock, b. May 1892, in Topeka; d. bef Sept 1956; m. Mary Bristain. 4)Estella Florence Comstock, b. June 1895, in Topeka, d. bef. Sept 1956, m. Charles B. McGuire, brother of Nora, 29 July 1913, in Topeka, 2 known children.
Francis Martin, Sr. and Jessie Ann were divorced. I have no date or place. She married a 2nd time to Frank Linden, time and place unknown.
I had a Francis Comstock, as a Civil War vet from Iowa, who applied for benefits, but the wives/widow didn't connect. Oh well.
