I found George Washington Comstock in the 1850 cenus in New Albion Cattaragus Co NY pg 29 dw 192 fam 179:
George Comstock 44 all b NY
Keziah Comstock 40
Alonzo 18
Andrew 16
Peter 15
Franklin 12
William 9
Augusta 11 ?
Orlondo F 7
Lydia 5
Louisa C 3
Florence M 3/12

And after looking at your query and the census page again, on the same page now I see Stephen Ewer 27 and Nancy 22 and 2 children; Solomon Wing 28 and Sarah A 24 and 1 child.

By 1860 he’s in Waupan Fond du Lac and his son George Edward is living next door, and I see Solomon Wing 38 and Sarah A 36 and 3 children; also Stephen Ewer 37 and Nancy 33 and 5 children; also Ruth E (listed in the Comstock book) Ferris. [This was sure a stick together bunch]

The information I have on George W comes in part from the Comstock family p 167 & 278. I have that he was b in Chautauqua Co NY 22 Nov 1806, d Lamartine WI 1 Feb 1885 m prob Dayton Cattaraugus Co NY 1824 Keziah Thurston dau of Daniel and Charlotte Mudge Thurston, b Verona NY 30 May 1809 d Lamartine WI 6 Apr 1871.

Going back Geo W ‘s father is Abner Comstock b ca 1771 Egremont MA d Persia NY bef 20 Jun 1859. His first wife was Sarah Tiener and in the 1850 census he’s married to Jane.

Abner’s father was Samuel Comstock b 1749 Montville CT d Ft. Ann NY 25 Dec 1805, a Rev War soldier. He married Sarah Crippen (who carries the Mayflower line back to Edward Fuller).

Look forward to hearing from you on this line.
