Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Wally,

FYI, Please go to the Knowledge Base website:

http://ancestry.custhelp.com/

and enter 5435 in the Search Support field and click on the Search Button. That will take you to an article that should help you with this.

So, if you have FTM2008 - FTM2012, you will not be able to Update the My Family History section, nor Genealogy Reports. You can update the User Home Page just using your Browser, but not from within the current versions of Family Tree Maker.
