Hi, I am trying to do do something for my grandmother and am new to the Family Tree Maker Program...She has Version 7.on her old computer that runs windows 98. The computer has a virus on it and all of her genealogy files are on that computer...if I remove them from that computer via a USB flash drive and purchase the new Version(Family Tree Maker 2010) and put them on her new computer would all of her files from Family Tree Maker Version 7 go back onto the new version? Would everything sync up correctly? Is there anything I should be aware of? Please help me...all these files mean so much to her and she has been working on this for about 12 years now. The computer got a virus on it about 3 years ago and everybody keeps promising to help her and nobody has done anything to get these files off her old computer. I appreciate anybodys help with this!
