Searching for descendant and ancestor information on Samuel Comp, B. 1/14/1822, probably in Germany. Records indicate that he may have spelled his name Compt. Immigration records show the name as being spelled, Kamptt or Kampff. Samuel married Sarah Elizabeth Williamson, b. 11/26/1825. The family moved to Buda, Bureau County, Illinois. Samuel may have had a brother John who also moved with his family to the same area.
