Philip was BORN on 15 December 1826 in Centerville, Wayne County, Indiana, but he died on 26 February 1893 in Rose Hill, Butler County, Kansas, and was buried in Sterling, Rice County, Kansas. Further notes: Removed to Vermilion Copunty, Illinois, in fall of 1857, and to Rice County, Kansas, in January 1880. Philip lived on a large farm about 5 or 6 miles northeast of the town of Georgetown, Illinois, and here most of his children were born. About 1880 there was a general faily migration from Illinois to Kansas, and Philip and his wife were the first to go, settling at Lyons. The rest of the family followed in quick succession, the family of Thomas being the last to go. Philip and Hannah were among the Charter Members of the Georgetown Monthly Meeting of Friends.
