Hi Betty!
Gracious, goodness, you are a kissing cousin! That's
the third ancestor's surname you came up with in your
postings! You couldn't get more down-home for me
than Georgetown & Williamsburg Counties in South
Carolina! Commander/Screven/Brockinton says it all.
I know nothing about Mississippi, so, I can't help
you there. The Three Rivers Historical Society has
much information, and they are located in Wmsbg. Co.,
South Carolina. and they have published and sold
everything from family genealogies to will & deed
books & cemetery records, and more. If you have
roots in Williamsburg County, it's a good place to
start! Good luck! Couz-Ann
