Hello James,
Elizabeth Screven, daughter of Rev. William Screven,
married Robert Elliott (Will 1727), son of Humphrey & Elizabeth (Cutts) Elliott. This Elliott/Screven
marriage is well documented. The reason for close
relationship between Commanders & Screvens, was because
of Hannah Commander's marriage to Rev. Elisha Screven.
Hannah Commander was daughter of Samuel Commander, Sr.
(1680-Will 1733-36), and Elizabeth ( ? ). The later
Commanders married into Vereens, etc. Sorry, to take away your Screven heritage, but we never know what we will find in the future. Happy hunting! Ann
