Hi Malcolm, I have more info. I was at my parents today and showed my mom what you had sent and low and behold she comes out with a couple of old documents. Didn't know about those. Anyway here is what I found out. Marriage Certificate: Dec 27 1900, Joseph Commander, age 44, an insurance agent, married Eliza Elizabeth Day,age 24,a spenster at Parrish Church in the Parrish of All Saints in Sheffield,Sheffield Co,England.Joseph's father is listed as John Commander,a contracter, deceased and Elizabeth's father is listed as Isaac Day,deceased. No mention as to the mothers. Joseph Commander would have been born around 1856 and was married before to? He was listed as a Widow. Elizabeth would have been born around 1876. Joseph had purchased a burial plot at Tinsley Park Cemetary at Sheffield. He died sometime in 1914 from a bad Flu Epidemic. Irene Commander's birth Certificate: Oct 31 1903 and the family lived at 48 Britnall St,Sheffield. There is mention of a younger sister that died very young but no name. I didn't know about these documents but boy did they bolster what I did know. I hope this can help you to place us somewhere into your info. Again thank you so much for your help. Floyd Herriage Jr
