origin of the name comley

Through this forum, I have accessed a site which states that the name Comley is traced to County Westmeath in Ireland. However, in the brief searches I have carried out, there does not appear to be anyone called Comley in Ireland!

One obvious theory is that the name spelling has changed etc.

Can anyone throw any light on this.
A bewlidered Comley.
