I am currently researching the surname Comaskey and all its variants from County Monaghan and have noticed researching the Griffths Valuation Rolls the amount of people with this surname in the County especially around Castleblayney and Clontibret. My 3xgreat grandfather was a Bernard Casey born @1806 and his mother was a Bridget Comaskey. There were quite a few Comaskey's came to Glasgow with him during the 1840's. Hope this helps,
Jamie
