Hi, Ruth!

I have a couple of pictures of Abraham and Mary, and many of their children and some of the grandchildren. My great-great-grandmother, their daughter-in-law, was quite a photographer.

The information about their marriage comes from the Brock Dist. marriage registers, and shows that they were married in the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Rev. Kennedy Creighton. A kind soul has transcribed the registers here:

Here it shows a marriage for Abraham Calhoun of Blenheim to Mary Comfort of Norwich. The same site also has a marriage for Sylvester Colborn to Rhoda Leeder, 26 Mar 1844, at the Methodist Episcopal Church, at which Abraham Colborn was a witness. You can find the same information at --but here it correctly shows the name of Abraham Colborn. I have not laid eyes on an actual marriage record, but am sufficiently convinced that this information is correct. I have also recently laid hands on a copy of Amos Colborn's will. I have a lot of information on the descendants of Abraham and Mary, but not much on their forbears. Feel free to contact me at, and I'll be happy to share what I have.
