It is true about the Charles Dickens connection of the graves of the
Comport children who died in infancy at Cooling Castle and Cooling Court Farm in Cooling, Kent. There are 13 in total buried at St James Church. I live in the village and they are a talking point to visitors. The castle and farm are still inhabited.
The original black and white film "great Expectaions" with
John Mills was filmed in the churchyard and the surrounding marshes.
Just to interest any living relatives. Note the different
spelling with a P.
