I was told that "Daniel Comfort was a 1st Lieut. in a CT. Regiment during the Civil War. He was 26 years old in 1863 and received a Congressional Medal of Honor in 1886. He was at the Battle of Little Round Top in Gettysburg with Col. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. He died in 1913." Does anyone know if this information was true and was he Daniel Augustus Comfort from Sullivan County, NY?
