3 brothers arrive in the new world

I am searching for information that supports or disproves an old family story of three brothers that arrived in the new world around the late 1600's. Allegedly Robert, Samuel , and Richard came to the US and begin to show up in early documents of the 1690's. They may have arrived aboard a ship named the America. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
