Dear Colleagues,

I am searching for any information about a COMFORT family that came into Western Pennsylvania sometime before 1840 and settled variously in Sharpsburg and around Chartiers on the West End of Pittsburgh (perhaps Elliott)

What I have is

1. JOHN COMFORT. Born Jun 1800 in PENNSYLVANIA. Died 29 Jan 1873 in Indiana Co. Pa. (Burrell Twp).

LIVING IN SHARPSBURG IN THE 1850 CENSUS
Living IN THE SAME HOUSE AS A WOMEN NAMED
ELIZABETH TYLER 92 YEARS OLD (B. 1758)
born in New Jersey

Death notice in INDIANA Messinger Jan 29, 1873
"of Burrell Twp of Consumption"
Age 72 years and 8 months

He married MARTHA. Born 4 Jul 1801 in PENNSYLVANIA. Died 28 Jan 1873 in INDIANA CO. PA. (BURRELL TWP).

"AGE 71 YEARS, 6 MONTHS AND 24 DAYS

They had the following children:
