Comerford, buried in New York City area, Bronx, Queens, Westchester, and thereabouts
My 2nd-great-grandfather Patrick COMERFORD b abt 1847 Ireland is buried in New York, Queens County, Woodside: Calvary Cemetery. I was told that he died around 15 Feb 1888, having drowned in the East River:

Patrick's wife, Mary Teresa (Theresa) FLEMING, b 1844-1852 Ireland; d 1928. She resided in latter life in The Bronx, and is buried New York, Westchester, Hawthorne: Gate of Heaven Cemetery. She died around 2 Jan 1928.
Patrick and Mary had two sons and two daughters.
Patrick's and Mary's eldest son, James COMERFORD, b 1863-1864 Ireland or New York, Manhattan); d unknown. He simply vanished, and no one knows when or where he died nor where he is buried (prob Potter's Field). From what I was told, James was a chronic alcoholic and part-time Bowery bum, a scoundrel and possible criminal, and who treated his wife Mary SCHROEDER and their daughters very badly (as in spousal and child abuse and neglect). I could find only one census where he's mentioned: 1900 New York, Kings, Brooklyn: James Commerford.
Patrick's and Mary's second son, Louis Edmund/Edmond COMERFORD, b 1876-1879 New York, Manhattan; d 1924; buried in New York, Bronx, Bronx: Old St. Raymond's Cemetery. He settled in The Bronx. I found him in two censuses: 1900 New York, New York, Manhattan: Louis Comerford; 1920 New York, Bronx, Bronx: Louis Comerford.
Patrick's and Mary's daughter, Mary (Mamie) COMERFORD (b~1880; d 1955) married twice, second time to William T. CAVANAUGH (b~1883; d 1957). She resided in The Bronx, and is buried New York, Westchester, Hawthorne: Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Patrick's and Mary's second daughter, Agnes COMERFORD (b~1883; d 1962) married a William Adrian STACK (b~1879, d 1926). She resided in The Bronx, and is buried New York, Westchester, Hawthorne: Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
